My thoughts:
This was the first time I used a liquid coconut oil, I usually only use the solid food grade coconut oil.  I used this for several types of uses.  I have two different kinds of eczema, one on my leg and another on my elbows.  This worked great on the eczema on my legs, I was not as fortunate for my elbows (but even prescription topical steroids don't help on my elbows.)  I also tried to use to shave, that was not successful for me, but the product worked great as an after shave.  It was also a nice excuse for a massage or ten, this was odor free and absorbed quickly with out a nasty residue.  It also worked as a good water repellent for the skin.

Emerald City and Ruby Slippers Collections.... Perfect for Christmas

I was feeling a little down the other day....

The other day when I was feeling down I thought about the things I am happy about.  One thing that I am happy about and proud of is the fact that my hair three years in a row during this season.  That's right I was feeling down and decided to do an act of kindness instead and my hair is now headed to a child with cancer.  This is what was cut off this year.

So on ash Wednesday I went in for surgery.  So that is what has been going on with me....

Make your own air freshener

A lovely spray for the winter season.  A clean and natural scent made from essential oils.

In a spray bottle combine 4 oz of water 12 drops of sweet orange essential oil, 6 drops of eucalyptus essential oil and 6 drops of pine essential oil.  Shake and mix well, spray as desired around the house.

It is just lovely smelling.  Always remember when using essential oils they are strong and must be diluted with water.

Simple Christmas Treat...

I am posting this a tad bit late in the holiday system but I was being lazy about figuring out what I was going to bring to the holiday part potluck tomorrow. I decided to create something easy and fun. I went to the store and picked up some two bite brownies, light hershey's chocolate syrup and candy cane kisses.

First step was to take the two bite brownies and put them on a cook sheet.  Drizzle them with the hersheys syrup.  Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.

Top each of the brownies with a hershey candy cane kiss and put in the oven to melt the candies.  When they are soft just touch the tip of the kiss with your finger so that the point will go down and let it bake a bit more.
They will melt down.  These are too good.  The normally dry two bite brownies turn nice and gooey between being warmed and the chocolate syrup absorbing in.  The candy cane chocolates give it a bit of a minty flavor.  I am hoping that these are going to be as good tomorrow as they were straight out of the oven.
