Old stool...

I was in need of something to which I am not going to share till at the end of this post. I did what I always do I went shopping at my fathers house. I found an old stool that was not in the best condition. Okay it was in awful condition and sat outside on the driveway.
Well I took this and sand it down a bit.  It was not sanding so well so we put some lacquer thinner on it.  Well when we did this a spot cleaned up to which we realized this was not weathered this was moldy.  We ended up spraying it down with bleach and letting it dry overnight.
It ended up cleaning up a lot.  So gross I know.  I then re-sanded the stool and added a coat of spray primer in grey.
I then spray painted it a shiny black color.  And cut a couple of pieces of black granite and voila I had just what I was looking for.
I was looking for a table to put in a small space between my front door and my sliding glass door that I could put a bowl on for my keys and work badge I am always losing.

  1. Oh my gosh Angie, that turned out beautiful. I am very impressed.

You miss snow!! I probably would also, but living in Pennsylvania, I get my share plus yours too. I like snow until Christmas is over and then I am done.
