My thoughts:
This was the first time I used a liquid coconut oil, I usually only use the solid food grade coconut oil.  I used this for several types of uses.  I have two different kinds of eczema, one on my leg and another on my elbows.  This worked great on the eczema on my legs, I was not as fortunate for my elbows (but even prescription topical steroids don't help on my elbows.)  I also tried to use to shave, that was not successful for me, but the product worked great as an after shave.  It was also a nice excuse for a massage or ten, this was odor free and absorbed quickly with out a nasty residue.  It also worked as a good water repellent for the skin.

If you get a chance check out their other great products at goPURE Naturals or follow them on Facebook!

Emerald City and Ruby Slippers Collections.... Perfect for Christmas

I was feeling a little down the other day....

The other day when I was feeling down I thought about the things I am happy about.  One thing that I am happy about and proud of is the fact that my hair three years in a row during this season.  That's right I was feeling down and decided to do an act of kindness instead and my hair is now headed to a child with cancer.  This is what was cut off this year.

Make your own air freshener

A lovely spray for the winter season.  A clean and natural scent made from essential oils.

In a spray bottle combine 4 oz of water 12 drops of sweet orange essential oil, 6 drops of eucalyptus essential oil and 6 drops of pine essential oil.  Shake and mix well, spray as desired around the house.

It is just lovely smelling.  Always remember when using essential oils they are strong and must be diluted with water.

Simple Christmas Treat...

I am posting this a tad bit late in the holiday system but I was being lazy about figuring out what I was going to bring to the holiday part potluck tomorrow. I decided to create something easy and fun. I went to the store and picked up some two bite brownies, light hershey's chocolate syrup and candy cane kisses.

First step was to take the two bite brownies and put them on a cook sheet.  Drizzle them with the hersheys syrup.  Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.

Top each of the brownies with a hershey candy cane kiss and put in the oven to melt the candies.  When they are soft just touch the tip of the kiss with your finger so that the point will go down and let it bake a bit more.
They will melt down.  These are too good.  The normally dry two bite brownies turn nice and gooey between being warmed and the chocolate syrup absorbing in.  The candy cane chocolates give it a bit of a minty flavor.  I am hoping that these are going to be as good tomorrow as they were straight out of the oven.

The Great UGLee Pen! and Giveaway

UGLee Ergonomic Pen

As part of my weight loss journey I have been keeping a detailed weight loss diary which includes things from what I ate for the day and how many points plus they were to recipes and how I was feeling when I reached for that snack.  Well lets just say some days that is a lot of writing.  I have dedicated my UGLee Pen as my journal pen.

I use the pen everyday; well that is if I am behaving and doing what I know I need to do, and I love it.  The pen is the perfect size for my hand, not too round and not to thin.  Sometimes when I spend the time to write a recipe my hand will hurt after from to much writing (I have poor form when holding writing utensils.)  The ink on the three pens I got where fluid and wrote well.  The pen is fairly true to name, all though it has glitter in the jelly part it is not the cutest pen on the market.

I will always have one of these pens around especially when I have a something that I will be putting in a lot of handwriting.

Noxicare™ Natural Pain Relief Cream Product Review and Giveaway

I had a chance to use Noxicare pain relief product.  This is advertised as "Noxicare™ Natural Pain Relief is a breakthrough natural, patented pain relief formula that is a proprietary combination of 7 of the world’s most potent natural pain relievers that quickly and effectively alleviate inflammation, muscle aches and nerve pain—with NO known side effects and without a prescription."

When I tried this I had sever pain that was included my right wrist, elbow and shoulder.  On my sever pain I really did not feel that much of a difference.  I did not have a chance to try this on mild to medium pain. I usually use the tiger balm sport, which is super strong.  One thing that I do like about this product is that unlike tiger balm when you accidentally touch another part of your body it is not burning and numbing like the tiger balm...  I know that I have thought of some mean practical jokes with that.

Old stool...

I was in need of something to which I am not going to share till at the end of this post. I did what I always do I went shopping at my fathers house. I found an old stool that was not in the best condition. Okay it was in awful condition and sat outside on the driveway.
Well I took this and sand it down a bit.  It was not sanding so well so we put some lacquer thinner on it.  Well when we did this a spot cleaned up to which we realized this was not weathered this was moldy.  We ended up spraying it down with bleach and letting it dry overnight.
It ended up cleaning up a lot.  So gross I know.  I then re-sanded the stool and added a coat of spray primer in grey.
I then spray painted it a shiny black color.  And cut a couple of pieces of black granite and voila I had just what I was looking for.
I was looking for a table to put in a small space between my front door and my sliding glass door that I could put a bowl on for my keys and work badge I am always losing.

Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops

So awhile back ago I got home from work to find a nice treat on my door step.  I had agreed to try the pine bros product to write an honest review.  I was absolutely not expecting so much.  It was actually nice because I was able to provide some to friends to get their opinions also and share them with my readers.

There were two flavors, wild cherry and honey, I tried both when they came in.  I was much more fond of the cherry flavor.  There were two different types of containers, bags and canister.  I liked the canister better, since in both the drops a free of any other packaging making the bag likely to lose some in a purse.  The texture of the drops were a little strange, they are a hard chewy.  I found myself a little confused whether I was to suck or chew them.  Unfortunately/fortunately I was not sick during this time so I can not give any hands on advice about how they work for sore throats and coughs.  That is were my friends opinion comes in handy.

I gave a couple of types to a co-worker/friend who was coming down with something.  She too enjoyed the cherry flavor over the honey.  When I asked if they helped she said yes but mildly.  They do not have a heavy medicinal flavor.  Well she had them in her purse and her kid niece grabbed one thinking it was candy, in the cherry flavor.  Well it turns out they are kid friendly, she loved them.

These items are located at CVS pharmacies.  The company constantly holds promotions though their facebook page and twitter page.
